Hi, I'm Rocky...a very lucky boy. I was born in 1990 and have lived with my humans on the shore of Lake Ontario since I was six weeks old. There isn't much that a lab likes better than water. I also like to fetch. My very favorite thing is when my humans throw sticks in the lake. Nothing beats fetching and swimming, except my bowl at dinnertime and maybe a ride in the car sometimes. My humans are very good to me and I really enjoy my life.Update October, 2002...Something has changed...since a recent trip to the vet, my humans are not feeding me like they used to. The Doctor was concerned when the scales read 100 lbs. (45 kg.), so now I eat diet dog food. Yuck!!!
Update October, 2003...I just had my yearly check up and I've lost 8 lbs...but they're still feeding me diet dog food.
Update October, 2004...Well, this has been quite a month for me. My humans took me to that nice lady Doctor who said a rather big fatty tumor should be removed. So, a week later I went back for surgery. I don't remember much about that day...I know that I fell asleep, then when I woke up I felt very groggy and my legs were wobbley. Ten days later my sutures were removed and I'm feeling great again.
Update May 10, 2005...Rocky crossed the Rainbow Bridge today...we are leaving his page up in celebration of his life. Click here for our tribute to him.
5/20/05...We would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to e-mail us or send cards in recognition of Rocky's passing. The kindness of our friends and some complete strangers is something we will never forget.
